Scrimber is launching a new research project in September 2026 together with the Bern University of Applied Sciences, funded by Innosuisse.
Scrimber is pleased to announce the official launch of a new Innosuisse-funded research project in collaboration with Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH). The joint project aims to develop scientific foundations and technological innovations for the laying and spreading of the Scrimber resource for panel production, further optimizing the use of sustainable, plant-based materials with Scrimber technology.
The close link between applied research and industrial implementation creates a valuable transfer of knowledge that enables new methods in production, material properties and sustainability benefits to be scientifically validated and made marketable. For Scrimber, this collaboration with the Bern University of Applied Sciences and the Departments of Architecture, Wood and Construction as well as Engineering and Computer Science is an important step in accelerating the need for development and further advancing Scrimber innovation.
We look forward to generating new results and milestones in the coming research period.
