Wood construction is a megatrend. New timber construction products are needed to meet the increasing demand.

Scrimber is being developed in collaboration with universities and business partners. The first Scrimber construction products are expected in 2027. We give you an overview of the planned product range.

Scrimber raw panels
Scrimber raw panels are cost-effective panels for the production of cross laminated timber and glulam. Their strength is comparable to that of spruce wood. Intended dimensions: thickness 25 mm, width 1.25 m, length 6 m

Cross laminated timber from scrimber raw panels
Cross laminated timber made from Scrimber raw panels has similar properties to conventional cross laminated timber: but higher yields and less waste.
Glulam from scrimber raw panels
Glulam made from Scrimber raw panels is suitable for use in timber engineering and is comparable to conventional glulam. The lengths and widths are unlimited. Expected strength: GL24h

Are you interested in samples?

Scrimber is to be produced in industrial pilot plants from 2027 and on an industrial scale from 2030.

Until then, it will be possible to obtain samples from research production. The possibilities for further products and applications are almost unlimited. Scrimber will have roughly the same properties as spruce or fir and can be used for the same applications.
