In June 2025, the Scrimber Experts Meeting took place as part of the World Conference on Timber Engineering (WCTE) in Brisbane, Australia. The event brought together leading international experts from research, industry and practice and was very well received.

The meeting provided Scrimber with an ideal platform for exchanging information on original developments in Australia and the latest findings on the production of wood-based materials. There was a particular focus on research stages, reports and specialists from Australia in order to learn from past experiences for today. The interest was great and led to a supporting technical article, which sparked positive discussions and activities in the international timber construction community. On the Scrimber side, Stefan Zöllig, Steffen Franke and Bettina Franke actively participated in the program. They presented the latest developments, held technical discussions and researched new contacts and findings.

Numerous individual discussions and in-depth meetings with specialist partners and research institutions also took place at the conference following the presentation on scrimber technology. These intensive exchanges promote the further establishment of scrimber technology in Europe.

The successful expert meeting underlines Scrimber's leading role in international timber construction research and shows how practical innovation and scientific progress go hand in hand.
